【比賽】112學年度英語即席演講比賽English Impromptu Speech Contest

• 比賽時間：2024年3月26日 (星期二) 晚上6時00分至9時00分 (結束時間可能提早或延後)
• 比賽地點：淡江大學驚聲國際會議廳 (T301)
• 主辦單位：淡江大學英文學系
• 參加資格：全校大學部日間部、進學班學生(英語為母語者亦可參賽)
• 比賽名額：個人報名參賽，至多20位，額滿為止。
• 報名方式：請於3月22日(五)前填妥本表單，並至英文系辦(FL207)找Mina繳交保證金100元，才算完成報名。(配合Mina課表，保證金收款時間：每周一下午2時前、每周三四下午4時前，或以MS Teams約時間)
• 比賽進行方式：

1. 3月26日下午5時45開始報到，需於6時15分前完成報到，否則視同棄權。
2. 參賽者於當天報到時一併抽取號碼牌，依號碼順序上台以英語演講。
3. 每位參賽者於上臺演講前6分鐘抽題，隨即進入準備室準備，每位參賽者有6分鐘準備時間。
4. 參賽者可以於準備時，在題目單上做簡單筆記並帶上台。  
5. 每位參賽者演講時間為3分鐘，自上台發聲起計時。2分30秒時會按一次鈴提醒，3分鐘會按兩次鈴提醒，3分30秒會按長鈴並強制結束比賽。
6. 2 分30 秒至3 分30 秒內不扣分，其餘時間過短或過長則由裁判斟酌扣分。 

• 報名後比賽相關重要資訊會以MS Teams訊息並同時寄到參賽者以學號為首的o365信箱，請留意信件。

• Eligibility: All TKU undergraduates 
• Sign-up Limit: 20 (as individual)
• Registration steps: 

1. Fill in this form by March 22   
2. Submit NTD.100 of deposit to Mina at the English Department Office (FL207) before the contest.  
3. Mina's office hours available: Monday before 2 PM, Wednesday and Thursday before 4 PM.

• Procedure: Visit our website to read the latest policy and rules. 

1. Check-in starts from 5:45 PM to 6:15 PM. Contestants will be disqualified if they do not check in before 6:15 PM.
2. Each contestant will draw a number during check-in and deliver a speech in English in the order of the drawn numbers.
3. Contestants will randomly select a topic by drawing one question from a pool of questions six minutes before going on stage. After drawing, contestants will enter the preparation room for a six-minute preparation.
4. Contestants may take notes on the topic sheet during preparation and bring it on stage.
5. Speaking time: 3 minutes, starting from when the contestant begins speaking on stage. There is no minimum time but points might be deducted for each 30 seconds over or under the time limit.
